Brand Communication Conclave, 2015- Advertising at Crossroads

Symbiosis Institute of Media & Communication (PG), Pune is back with the second edition of their successful Brand Communication Conclave. The event, to be hosted on the 4th of October 2015, will be a seamless blend of talent showcase and high impact panel discussions among experts, the topic at hand being- Advertising at Crossroads.

As the day unfolds, attendees will get a chance to witness 5 teams present the apt communication strategy which will create ripples for Indian Motorcycles in the Indian market. This project was handed to the SIMC (PG) students two weeks prior to the conclave. Ms. Runa Ahlawat, Marketing Team of Polaris (Mother company of Indian) and Mr. Sandeep Mittal - Sales Head for Indian brand in India will be present to evaluate the ideas and comment on their feasibility.
The panel discussions on the other hand will see the crème of the Advertising world deliberate on the three pressing issues prevalent in the industry:
Panel 1: Traditional Advertising: What about thou? (Present status and future direction)
Panel 2: Consumers don’t spend time with technologies; they spend time with emotions (sustenance/ non-sustenance of digital agencies in the long run due to minimal emphasis on consumer emotions)
Panel 3: Honey you shrunk the talent (Shortage of the ‘right’ talent in advertising agencies)
Industry stalwarts such as Mr. Colvyn Harris, Executive Director, Global Growth & Client Development at JWT India, Mr. Paul Josy, Chairman and CCO at BBDO and Mr. Hari Krishnan, Managing Director at ZenithOptimedia will be present for the event.
