  Japanese researchers said they have discovered a protein that forms the chromosome and plays a role in cell division. Specialists note that this finding may contribute to understanding the mechanism of cancer. Satihiro Matsunaga and colleagues from the engineering department of Osaka University found this protein. Dividing into two human cell carries the genetic code of the chromosomes, which take the form of a cross.
  
  However, it remains a mystery what makes chromosomes take such form. Group study features about 30 of 157 proteins found in each chromosome. The opening of the Japanese is to ensure that if the number of chromosomes of a particular protein does not take the form of a cross, and does not result in normal cell division. researchers reported that the protein has three different functions, and assigned him the name "ASYURA" named Three-Faced Buddhist patron deity.
  
  Matsunaga, who heads the study, expressed the hope that this finding will help to understand the mechanism of cancer that are associated with an abnormality of cell division, as well as contribute to the development of medical products for the treatment of this disease.
