Free WI-FI
- Government has planned free Wi-Fi in 2,500 cities, towns across the country with the investment of [font=georgia]Rs 7,000 crore.[/font]
- [font=georgia]These services will begin in 2015-2016.And will be offered to all mobile networks.[/font]
- The cities are Kolkata, Chennai, Lucknow, Dehradun, Hyderabad, Varanasi, Bhopal, Jaipur, Patna, Indore, Chandigarh and Ludhiana.
- It will be implemented by state-owned Bharat Sanchar Nigam Ltd (BSNL).
