FB is a project made by zucker during his final year for rating girls and connecting with them. This project was rejected by their staffs which led to increased interest to add some components to it to make it popular. After finishing the code, he bought his own server and hosted this site. This site was previously used by his friends in same LAN to connect with each other having the idea of bringing scrap book online.
On feb 4th, he launched the access to world wide.
