According to the developers, the world's first device that is directly integrated photovoltaic cell and the storage of electricity. New product aims to smooth out the unevenness in the development of solar energy. It can power consumers, even at night.

The transmitter, called Amrita Smart Indian scientists have created a center of nanoscience and molecular medicine ( ACNSMM ).

The general idea of the project is similar to the principle of the development of the Japanese in 2004 - fotokondensatorom, collecting the energy of sunlight. In Amrita Smart Panel are installed photovoltaic cells, which are under the supercapacitors.

Experienced panel Amrita Smart debuted at the conference on nanotechnology in solar energy systems and energy storage Nanosolar 2012 , held in late February in Kerala.

Larger version of Amrita Smart in the future may be issued in the form of "solar shingles" , say the Indians. They will help to simplify the "solar powered" homes at the expense of the individual batteries.

Developers are hoping that the market will fall Amrita Smart panel for one or two years. "They will be manufactured using thin-film supercapacitors and carbon frame. We hope to start them all over the world throughout the year, "- said Dr. Nair.
