Twitter Launched Video Sharing Service ‘VINE’

Popular social networking site Twitter has launched a video service called Vine, which is a free app for iOS devices.
This allows users to shoot and post short videos on their feed.

The official Vine blog has further explanation as follows:
"Like Tweets, the brevity of videos on Vine (6 seconds or less) inspires creativity.Now that you can easily capture motion and sound, we look forward to seeing what you create.", the company said in their post.

"We’re working now to bring it to other platforms, so stay tuned for that", the company added.

Twitter has been supporting embedded YouTube videos since 2009, but for the first time, Twitter hosts its own video content with Vine.

Facebook has blocked Twitter’s new Vine app from being able to find your Facebook friends on the service.
